Peter Pig 15mm figures
Peter Pig is one of the world's leading 15mm figure manufacturers.  We make 6000 different figures and models.  These are distilled into   1800 (15mm) packs. Every range has an associated set of rules. Also, there are related 15mm scenery ranges to accompany the figure ranges.  In these days of wandering measures of sizes into 18mm, 12mm and other sizes close to 15mm; Peter Pig has remained true to the 15mm ideal.  These other sizes are often an attempt by a manufacturer to create a market  for just their peculiar size. It is also used by sculptors who cannot work well with the 15mm size restriction and so need extra size in order to create acceptable sculpts. Peter Pig will continue to do 15mm wargame figures.  We will also constantly return to each range in order to carry out updates and additions.
Thus we have  15mm ranges with longevity and future potential.

This is the army with discipline and equipment that few could match. it can fight against the Parthians or the Germans. The Roman figures on foot come with separate shields. The designs are raised in relief so that all the shields will look the same and be easy to paint.

The Roman range is based on 110 AD armies. This means they are wearing the traditional Segmenta lorica armour. The auxiliaries wear chain mail. The Legionaries have separate shields in order to give units the "regular" look.

Here are the Greek hoplites.  Each pack contains 8 figures and 8 shields. Each figure has a hole in it. Each shield has a prong to fit into that hole. This allows the shields to not have mould lines and allows painters to paint the shield before attaching it to the figure. The prong may need trimming to fit. A spot of superglue  and/or putty will create the bond. After this a hole will need to be drilled through the figure hand. The hole is already started, but needs a drill to complete. Then use a wire or bristle spear length 25-28 mm to complete the figure. This  is extra work but will create a nicer finished figure. If this all makes the figure too onerous a proposition then that is understandable. Maybe try 1 pack and see if that works for you?
